Abstract:

Background and Objective: T3 resin uptake test indicates the availability of thyroxin binding globulin (TBG), which is the carrier of a large amount of T3 and T4 in blood. We aimed to study the relationship between serum T3 Resin uptake and serum lipids profile.Material and Methods: The participants aged 14.80±38.29 were both males (59; 29.5%) and females (141; 70.5 %). T3 Resin uptake was measured by Immunoassay method and serum lipid profile components (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL-C, LDL-C, and VLDL) were measured by the kit. Results: Significant negative correlation was observed between serum T3 Resin uptake and cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL-C (P£0.05), but that was not the case for HDL-C and VLDL.Conclusion: Serum T3 Resin uptake can be evaluated to assess the risk factors related to cardiovascular disorders.

Abstract:

The effects of organic and inorganic N sources on nutrient (N and P) efficiency under the water-stressed conditions have not yet been determined. Thus, a field study was conducted to determine the influence of N from different sources along with drought stress on nutrient efficiencies of maize. Main plots consisted of two irrigation treatments (i.e., optimum irrigation and cut-off irrigation at silking stage for two weeks), and subplots comprised N fertilizers (cattle manure: 40.8 Mg ha-1, poultry manure: 13.3 Mg ha-1, urea fertilizer: 435 kg ha-1, cattle manure+urea fertilizer: 20.4 Mg ha-1and 20.4 Mg ha-1, respectively) and control (without fertilizer). Results indicated that the imposition of water deficit and fertilizer type had a significant effect on N uptake while P uptake was significantly affected only by fertilizer type. The highest N and P uptake were obtained with poultry manure. Similarly, significant differences in N and P use efficiency and N physiological efficiency were observed between the water deficit and fertilizer type (P<0.01). However, the effect of water deficit on N and P uptake efficiency was not statistically significant, althoughfertilizer type was remarkable. Nitrogen and P use efficiency and N physiological efficiency with poultry and cattle manures were significantly lower under water deficit than normal irrigation conditions. In conclusion, the highest N and P use and uptake efficiencies were obtained with poultry manure under normal irrigation conditions, but with cattle manure+urea fertilizer under water deficit conditions.

Abstract:

The effect of integrated use of mineral and organic N sources (farmyard manure, poultry manure, and Filter Cake) on yield and N uptake of wheat were assessed in biennial field experiment carried out on silty clay loam soil in Nuclear Institute for Food and Agriculture, Tarnab, Peshawar Pakistan during 2005-07. Combined dose of N provided from all sources was applied @120 kg ha-1. There were 17 treatments with four replications; wheat variety (Fakhre-e-Sarhad) was sown in RCB design. Data on grain yield and straw yield were recorded in wheat. Samples of grain and straw were analyzed for total N to determine its uptake by the crop. Results indicated that in treatment where organic and mineral fertilizers were applied in the ratio of 25:75 from either organic source improved grain and straw yield. Maximum grain yield of (3248 kg ha-1) and straw yield of (7154 kg ha-1) were obtained from treatment where 25% N was applied from poultry manure and 75% from mineral fertilizer and maximum straw yield was found in treatment where 25% from filter cake and 75% from mineral N. Agronomic efficiency and nitrogen use efficiency were also found higher in the treatment where 25% N were applied from poultry manure and 75% from mineral fertilizer. It was concluded that combination of 25:75 organic and mineral N sources are the best combination to achieve sustainable yield.

Abstract:

In order to evaluate effects of different levels of N fertilization on availability and uptake of Zn in soil and maize (Zea mays L. var. S.C. 602), in condition competition with redroot pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus L.) an experiment in factorial design with 3 replications was conducted at west of Tehran. Factor A consisted of three levels of N (142, 190 and 237 kg/ha) and factor B was three levels of redroot Pigweed densities (0, 5 and 25 plant/m-2). Results showed that with increasing nitrogen application, Zn uptake by corn increased, but not by weed. Zn uptake by corn was significantly higher in 5 weed/m2 compared to no weed. In according to these results, weed density under critical level, not only is not disadvantage for crop, but also it can increase Zn uptake and so seed yield.

Abstract:

We have two goals in this paper. First, we investigate and construct cofree coalgebras over n-representations of quivers, limits and colimits of n-representations of quivers, and limits and colimits of coalgebras in the monoidal categories of n-representations of quivers. Second, for any given quivers Q1, Q2, . . ., Qn, we construct a new quiver Q(Q1, Q2, . . ., Qn), called an nquiver, and identify each category Repk(Qj) of representations of a quiver Qj as a full subcategory of the category Repk(Q(Q1, Q2, . . ., Qn) ) of representations of Q(Q1, Q2, . . ., Qn) for every j 2 {1, 2, . . ., n}.

Abstract:

Introduction: At global level nitrogen (N) fertilizers had drastic effects on crop yields increment during the last century. However, high application rates of this input have resulted to environmental pollution all around the world in addition decreased yields per unit of applied N is also reported in some countries. To fulfill increasing demands for agricultural crops with conservative application of N fertilizers, increasing N use efficiencies is recognized as a sustainable management. This calls for systematic studies on N use efficiency and its components at crop, field and regional levels. However, N efficiencies of agricultural crops at national level are not fully analyzed in Iran.In this research, forty years (1960-2010) data on yield and N application rate were analyzed for yield trend, N efficiencies and its related components for wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) production systems of Iran....

Abstract:

In special purpose circuits, the amount of energy consumed and the speed of operation are the main challenges. There are wide researches and methods to improve the performance of these types of circuits. One of these methods is to use a Residue Number System (RNS). In the RNS, there are a number of modules (channels) as a set to represent the number and perform parallel arithmetic operations. The most famous set is the 3-modlui set {2n-1, 2n, 2n +1}. The form of modules to the power of 2 makes it easier to perform binary computational operations. To use this system, you need to perform conversion operations from binary to residue (forward conversion) and residue to binary (reverse conversion). The greater the number of modules (channels) in the set, the higher the degree of parallelism of computational operations. In contrast, more complex forward and reverse conversion circuits are required. The overhead of conversion computing can reduce the efficiency of using this system, unless the number of consecutive operations is large enough to cover the conversion overhead time. In this paper, based on 3-moduli set {2n-1, 2n, 2n +1} evaluation, it was determined that for how many consecutive addition or multiplication operations, the use of RNS operations leads to greater speed. In this paper, we evaluate the carry propagation adder as the most popular adder and parallel prefix adder as the high speed adder. Also, the parallel block multiplier circuit was used to evaluate the multiplication operations. First, modular adder/multiplier, binary, and forward and reverse conversion circuits were implemented and synthesized. We used Synopsys Design Compiler, K-2015. 06 version and 45nm technology. The results show that if the carry propagation adder is used, in modules with a width of more than 8 bits (n≥8), if the number of consecutive operations is at least 4, it will speed up the calculations. Likewise, in the multiplication operation and parallel prefix addition, the number of sequences is reduced to two.

Abstract:

The bacteria of genus Azospirillum is one of the plant growth-promoting bacteria with N2 fixation ability that has been observed in the rhizosphere and the intercellular of the cereals and other plant roots. In this research the effect of some indigenous isolates was surveyed on some of the growth parameters and nutrients uptake. In this research 58 Azospirillum isolates were isolated from 38 samples of soils and canola roots from the different regions of Golestan province, Iran. Then they were compared to select the superior growth promoting isolates. The effect of inoculation of superior isolates on canola (the variety of Hayola 401) was carried out under growth chamber conditions, at fertilizer level (50% and 100%, based on soil test), in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications and 2 harvest stages. The inoculation of 4 Azospirillum isolates on some of the growth parameters of canola showed that the bacterial treatments significantly increased shoot dry weight, potassium and nitrogen uptake compared with the control in the  first harvest, but they did not have any significant effect on all parameters in the second harvest. The maximum amounts of potassium and nitrogen uptake and the maximum amount of shoot dry weight were observed in inoculated plant by auxin-producing isolate with the amounts of 34.01, 31.43, and 0.627, respectively, in the first harvest. Also the effect of fertilizer treatments was significant on amounts of plant nutrients uptake and shoot dry weight in  the first harvest , and on shoot dry weight, root dry weight, plant potassium, and nitrogen uptake in the second harvest. The highest amounts of nutrients uptake, shoot dry weight, and root dry weight in the  both harvest stages were observed in 100% fertilizer treatment.
